The Monkey Goes is a New York based production company founded by Matt Pickar and Jon Reitzes. And the “About” page is the perfect section to learn more about the company and the guys behind the curtain.
Our greatest strength lies in our versatility. Some companies focus on short-form documentaries, some only on long-form, while others specialize only in commercial work. We pride ourselves in our ability to take on any project, no matter the style or scope. Our credits include lifestyle series, documentaries, celebrity biographies, commercials and more.
Matt and Jon first met in college and have forged a strong working relationship ever since. Together, we have created content that has been seen on MTV, CNBC, A&E Biography Channel, Current TV, Google and more. Our work has taken us from the field to the studio; from the operating room to the board room; from outdoor nature shoots to intimate profiles; and from cinema verite to chroma-key productions. A keen eye for detail, technical experiences, and innate storytelling ability is on display in every assignment.
